Differences Between Sim10 Versions

Below is a list of all Sim10 versions, quickly describing new features and known issues. Fixes to problems of previous versions are not explicitly listed

Sim10e

  • First Gauss version used: v56r9

  • Use newer version of DDDB tags for Run1 and Run2 productions with new ions and updated masses for other nuclei. See Summary of DBtags

  • Update AmpGen version to v2.4

  • Update version of EvtGen to R02-02-03

Sim10d

  • Do not apply acceptance cuts to products of all long lived particle instead of only to products of \(\Omega^-\), \(\Xi^-\), \(\Xi^0\), \(\Lambda^0\) and \(K_S\)

  • Introduce Powheg as potential ME generator

  • First Gauss version used: v56r8

Known Issues:

  • Bug in status code for BcVegPy and GenXicc breaking link to signal

  • Bug in Powheg configurations not allowing to fix Npartons needed for some event types

  • Bug for embedded quarkonia production in CRMC

Sim10c

  • Introduce support for 2024

  • Remove default beavior of Madgraph for cuttools in v56r6, hence increase to Sim10c for Run2

  • Support latest version of DDDB and SIMCOND tags for 2023 and 2024 with new UT geometry in v56r7, hence increase to Sim10c for Run3

  • First Gauss version used: v56r7

  • Note no production done with v56r6

Sim10b

  • First release for 2016-2018 + Upgrade Data

  • Last Gauss version used: v56r5

  • First Gauss version used: v56r0

  • Note that v56r3 and onward incorporate the porting of changes form Geant4 10.7 to our production versions, reducing CPU usage by a large amount.

Sim10a

  • Validation Release of Sim10

  • First Gauss version used: Gauss v55r0

  • Small double counting of some \(B \to K_S\) branching fractions
